teething symptoms and length
How do I know if shes teething? How long does this crankiness last for? What can I do if she is?

Re: teething symptoms and length
Ds started putting his hands in his mouth all the time around 4 months, that's about when he started drooling.
the week he started teething (three weeks ago sunday) he just happened to be going through a growth spurt and wanted to eat all the time - that was the true source of his fussiness. he didn't really fuss due to the teething except at night. he also woke up a few times crying. he was two weeks shy of six months.
i knew he was actually teething when i could see the teeth coming up through the gums. it took 6 days for the first tooth to break through and another 4-5 days for the second to break through.

Honestly, the crankiness can last for months.
Teething rings Wet a wash cloth, put it in the freezer and hold it in her mouth. Tylenol if ok'd by your Dr.
Do you see any whites on her gums?
Excessive saliva?
Also - babies at that age are just discovering things, so she may have just discovered what it's like to eat her hands!

my dd is 3 months and she started drooling a few weeks ago...and she is soaking the front of her onesies. i can see white where the two bottom teeth are, but I feel nothing. If it is the same as ds, this will go on for a few more months before the teeth will pop up
