Teething Pain

Did anyone's DC have worse teething pain from teeth AFTER the first one or two came through? I think I read the first are usually the worst, but DS really didn't seem to be in any discomfort when his first two bottom teeth came out, but now he's been such a crank with the crying and whining, I'm wondering if he's in teething pain. I see a bump on the top, but it's not right in the front, one or two even over to the side. Is that normal?

Thanks so much for any help!

Re: Teething Pain

DD was GREAT when her bottom teeth were coming in (she has 3 now on the bottom)...she just drooled alot...

Now, I think all 4 top teeth are coming in at the same time - and she's been in a lot of pain. I give her tylenol before bed, or she's up 5 times a night, and she is always chewing on a toy/pacifier/blanket, or if all else fails, her fingers...she's pooping 4-5 times a day (unusual for her) and she is crabby at times for no other reason....

When her top teeth started, they were just "bumps" too - and they're a little off to the side, so I think that's normal.

I just found these baby orajel pre-filled q-tip things...makes getting it on the gums so much easier...

This poor baby!!

I'm wondering if he's getting more than one tooth too, because his gums look swollen. Is that a sign?
