Teeth Whitening..

Between drinking coffee and smoking (I know ) I am in need of getting my teeth whitened.

I HATE the dentist and I have really sensitive teeth.

Can you recommend what you have done? Either at home or at the dentist? I have done the crest strips and have noticed NO difference at all. TIA

Aquafresh White Trays made a big difference for me. I liked them a lot better than the Crest Whitestrips.

I did the zoom whitening treatment. I think it was $400-$500. ETS I got it during a mothers day promotion. I have to be honest and it hurttttt the next day but the day after the sensitivity was gone and my teeth were white.

Listerine whitening strips work well. Use sensodyne toothpaste to ease the sensitivity issue.


A few years ago, I got a whitening kit from my dentist. He took molds of my teeth so tray can be made and the kit included a few tubes of whitening gel. I wore them overnight every few days. They worked great but again the sensodyne is key!

DH is a dentist and you can do the in-office procedure (Zoom) for about $600 at his office...but make sure if you do that you get sent home w/the trays and at-home whitening gel so you can maintain it. My sister smokes and drinks lots of tea and her teeth are super white...b/c she keeps up w/it. Also, it does depend on how well your teeth take to it, some people get much whiter than others...some don't see much of a difference at all...and some find their teeth to be VERY sensative to it.
