Is there a way I can back up my entire computer's pictures without having to click and drag each folder? I want to put them onto my external drive.

If all your subfolders like Holidays, Birthdays are in a "Pictures" folder, then you want to copy/paste the pictures folder. Typically, this is where your saved photos go. Go do documents or my documents depending on which version of windows you have. You will see a pictures folder.

I use SyncToy It's a Microsoft product. I have an elaborate (but organized) folder structure for all of my photos, so it's very impractical for me to copy everything under "Photos" (I have hundreds of GB, and it would take an hour or more each time I wanted to make a backup). I also add new folders at various locations in the structure, so I can't just copy over the new photos.
With this tool, the first time you run it, you make a full backup copy (you tell it what folder to copy, and where to copy it to). After the first time, whenever you run it, it will only copy new files, and not everything that has already been copied.
Saves tons of time, and it works great.
