We proposed the normal week vaca, but the superintendent vetoed it and this is what we have. We have the normal spring break (which is like 10 days) but my husband is a teacher and he has ALL next week off so I am so jealous!

sept 6 - june 16
we have 185 days + 12 teacher workdays.
Next year our calendar is sept 4-june 8, but 2 of the workdays are now long days (2 fridays we work until 430). And we loose one day at spring break. So, it's a long weekend essentially.
Our calendar is crap.

honestly!
It does really matter though - i probably won't be in the same district next year.
DH just got an internship in civilization (aka, near dc  )
