Taxes VENT
we went to the accountant in the middle of FEBRUARY -and we still have not got our tax returns back to sign.
Ive called and called. I was told they needed to be reviewed and would be done today. (Mind you - FH and I arent married yet, I have W2 income, no rental income, capital gains, etc - very basic stuff).
FH calls today and is told THEY ARENT DONE YET and would be sent to us MONDAY.
UM HELLO- 4/15 is 16 days away - I SHOULD HAVE MY RETURN IN MY POCKET BY NOW
FH said to give us our stuff back (I have turbotax bc I did my moms) and we will go elsewhere

SO DID WE! I have NO IDEA why they havent been completed. we made an appointment with our regular accountant (a relative of FH) - he cancelled on us twice, so the second time we were already at the office, and one of the staff accountants said he would do it - but apparently a senior member has to review them and hasnt gotten around to it.
Im am FUMING. we have a house and a wedding to pay for, I should have had my return $$$ back by now
and no we havent paid him, or plan on paying him.

either do it yourself or go to H&R Block
we used to have an accountant that we would have to beg and beg to get ours done on time- it never happened
this year- Jake just decided to go to H&R Block and as long as you know what deduction you should have- it's fine

FH is going on monday - if they havent seen an italian go ballistic in there office, theyre about to
eta: what makes me mad is that I usually do them myself with Turbo Tax (I am almost done with my MBA in finance, I know my numbers) - but we figured with the house we should go to an acct since we arent married yet - but he told us i just take half of the deductions (mortgage interest, etc) and FH takes the other half.
