tax increase based on false reason
has anyone had a luck fighting tax increase for a false reason - we added at best 16 sq ft when we redid our house but our taxes are going up over 30% - and the reason they stated was for added square footage

Check with the town and see if the sq. footage they have recorded is accurate.
When you add any sq. footage they hit you big with taxes. The previous owners added an extension on to our house and taxes went up big time. They fought it several times.
