Tavertine floors
Anybody know what you are supposed to use to clean tavertine floors?
I wasn't sure if it was ok to use my swiffer wet jet....

Re: Tavertine floors
Tavertine is real stone so you should use a real stone cleaning agent. Go to HD or Lowes and ask someone in the tile area. I believe AquaMix is a brand that comes to mind. If they don't have anything try a tile store.

Re: Tavertine floors
Is it the kind of travertine that has the (sort of ) natural holes filled with a stone filler? If it is, I would be really careful because my friend Mary, well she has that kind of floor and now has lots of pits in the floor because the filler has come out. Her flooring guy is going to refill them, but just be careful!
I have a travertine backsplash and the tiling place said just to use regular dishwashing liquid or just a cloth with water. Its natural and really porous so be really careful because chemicals can eat away at them. You might want to invest in a specialist cleaner. It will be worth it!
