I've been going to JCP and I'm very pleased with the pics.

I had a stressful experience at JCP trying to get DS to sit on a red dot for his 1st birthday pictures while the photog. didn't do much to catch his attention. Target took nice pictures (DS was 3 months). Their customer service girl was texting while helping me pick out pictures, so that was the only thing that bothered me about them.

I had a really bad experience with pictures at Bayshore Target 2 years ago. We were super rushed, although there was no line at all. A timer was set for 10 minutes (without me being told- I would have skipped the outfit change and opted for trying to get DD to actually smile) and when it went off that was it, the session was over. I don't know if I just got really unlucky with them that day but I won't go back there.

If you go to Target, I would highly recommend going to the Setauket location. I had Christmas pictures done there 2 years in a row and while they can get backed-up and have long waits, it was still much better. They got DD to smile the whole time and I never felt rushed at all. For the price, I was happy with the pictures.
