Talk to me about nanny cams: where, how, etc.
Where did you buy them? How much? What are your favorite hiding spots? How did you decide which rooms or how many to do? Did you warn them that you would be watching?

My DH is in IT, and has always purchased camera equipment from x10.com.
He actually just purchased a package they were selling because we are getting ready to install nanny cams. I believe the package was $200.
Obviously since we don't have them yet, we haven't placed them--but we plan to have them in all of the main common areas (living room, kitchen) and both of the kids' bedrooms.
Let me know if you want more info...I don't think the X10 website is very user-friendly if you're not a techie, but if you want more information I could ask my DH and send you the link to the kit that we got.
BTW, we hired our nanny last week, and we told her there were cameras around.

The linksys home monitoring camera is under $200 in most models. You can log in from anywhere for a live view and you can record. You can also set it for when you are not home to send you e-mail anytime it senses movement.
