Talk to me about Memory Foam mattresses, please!
DH's sciatica has been terrible lately and we're thinking of switching to a memory foam mattress. We heard they make a world of difference for those with bad sciatica. We've just begun to do our research.
Does anyone have one? Does brand matter? How do you like it? Would you tell me where you got it and about how much they cost?

We looked for along time for the right bed. I didn't like the memory foam mattress. To me it felt like laying on wet sand.
We got a latex bed. Love it! Best bed I've ever owned and we both have back issues.
No springs or coils...it's rubber.
We got it at Sleepworks in Massapequa. I think there is one in Lindenhurst too.

We have the Celebrity Tempur Pedic and LOVE it!!! We got it at Sleepys, next day delivery.

We have a tempurpedic (sp?) too and love it. We paid about $2700 for queen size.
ETS: We got it at Sleepys. From what I understand, the price on this brand can't really be negotiated.

I have a novaform bed sold from Costco..I tried the temperpedic in the store but since i knew it was out of our budget, we didn't take it seriously but thought it was nice...
We crossed pathes with the novaform bed and DW back problems were releived and i was able to sleep good (previous bed was beyond dead) for a 1/3 of the price, it was great.
If you don't like it, you can take it back to costco...

We had a memory foam mattress topper and we found it to be very hot. If you are hot at night, you might not be happy with one of these
