Talk about working mom's guilt
I just got home a little bit ago. I didn't get to see Steven. He cried when I left in the morning this whole week. I worked from home this morning instead of playing with him. Will work from home again tomorrow morning and will not be home until after 8:30 again tomorrow and have a meeting at 8 am on Friday morning, so will not see him then.
DH and I were supposed to go out to dinner on Saturday night, but now I feel so guilty about missing 3 mornings and two nights with him, that we are not going

It sucks, I know. Every spring I direct a musical at my school and it's evening and night rehearsals, so I miss so much time with Ava. It just breaks my heart. I say you guys need a special mommy/Steven day this weekend. And remember: Absence makes the heart grow fonder! I truly believe that!

You're right, Rach. It really reminds me how much I love spending time with him. Sometimes when I get frustrated with the every day toddler stuff, I need that reminder.
I took off a day next week because I agree...he needs a momm/steven day. And we are just back from vacation which makes it more difficult for both of us.
I know we're not alone. And I know we take it harder than they do, but you know...it still stinkies.
