Taking a walk with a newborn what should he wear?

I love fall weather but with a newborn it's confusing. He is wearing pants, onesie and a long sleeve top. What should I have him wear when we go for a walk? In the shade it's pretty cool. In the sun, it's pretty warm. I was thinking of putting on the bundle me the light one but wonder if that is too much or not enough.

I would just use a blanket in addition to what he is currently wearing, this way in the shade you can put it on him and in the sun take it off.

I did what you mentioned after I tried the light bundle me but couldn't figure it out. By the time I was ready to leave DS woke up and cried the entire time we walked only 5 minutes if that. Poor guy had pooped.

what I did

always have a big blanket you can fold up to make extra warm on him, or you can just use one layer if its not that cool.

always have a hat on newborn, it helps them to regulate their heat

If you have a bundle stroller thing its great, get a waterproof one, even if its not raining, its good protection. You can tuck blankets in there as much as you need to get him warmer, you don't need a fancy one.

invest in a wool hat, and a cotton one for weather like today
