taco seasoning ?

I was making ground turkey and decided to use those Mccormick taco seasonings. However I realized after I did it incorrectly I was supposed to brown the meat (which was within a few minutes then drain oil then add water with seasoning and stir. however I didnt drain the oil (but I didnt use much anyway. Does this make a huge difference once the ground turkey is finished cooking?

If you use ground beef or a less lean meat it can get really greasy.. but turkey doesn't produce a ton of extra oil so you should be just fine!

It doesn't matter.
I even marinate tilapia in that seasoning -I made fish tacos last night.. soo great.

I always add the seasoning while the meat is browning - I feel like it absorbs the flavor better this way.

I usually use turkey too so there really isn't any extra oil to drain off.

I like to buy the lower sodium taco seasoning - it tastes the same! I use it for everything, even in chili, stuffed peppers, I put it on onions and peppers when I make fajitas, etc.
