T-ball

Can I ask how often the teams usually practice and have games?

I was looking into a 4 year old program for the Spring and they told me that before the games start it's 2 practices during the week and 1 on Saturdays, and then once games start it's 1 game during the week and 1 game on Saturdays. That seems like a lot for a 4 year old to me. But maybe that's the norm.

Thanks!

With our league, my DS had 2 games a week (in the spring) and they practiced for a half hour before each game...

Before the official season began they had a couple of practices where they met the coach etc. mid week but once games started it was only prior to the start of each game.

That sounds like a lot for a 4 yr old league. Where did you find a local 4rd old league - just to keep it in mind for next year for my son? I thought most around here start at 5 or kindergarten.

Kevin started little league in Bellmore at 5 (it was mostly kindergarten but he was in PreK since he made the cut off by a couple months). He played 2x a week. Once at night during the week and then Saturday mornings. He'll have to do the same division again this year since he is in Kindergarten now. He did do the mother's center T-ball at 4 yrs- it was daddy and me and that met once a week.

We did Mother's Center last summer, he was just 4. I was thinking about doing that again.

Wantagh Little League is the one I was talking about above.

Today Sarah came home with a flyer for Wantagh Levittown Baseball Association and they have t-ball for 4-6 year olds listed too.

I think that Levittown South Wantagh LL starts at 5.

Re: T-ball

Wow! Sounds like a huge commitment for a 4 yr old. Ours is just on Saturday mornings at that age. They teach them as they are playing a game as a team so they do play against another team but they are all learning throughout the game.
