Sydnie's 2nd birthday cake-Trial 1
I attempted the giant cupcake cake. I have a new appreciation for bakers. I'm SO glad I did a trial run and SO glad I bought frosting in a can. Image Attachment(s):

Good job!!!!
I made one for B for his 1st birthday-it was just his cake.
I used white cake, but made swirls of blue cake (by dying part of the batter blue). So when he dug in, it was pretty inside.

Looks great! I did a cupcake theme for my daughters 1st bday! I had a HUGE cupcake. Are you having a 2nd birthday party for her? I am looking for ideas

That's cool....show off
How did you dye "part of the batter blue? That sounds really neat. I'm just proud because when I saw some else's I thought "Wow! I could NEVER do that." And then I did, anything for my girl

I did ladybugs for her first and cupcakes for her second and there was a thread the other day with a gingham theme that was beautiful. I'll bump them for you

I was telling you just in case you wanted to try it you little booger. Just make the batter normally then take some out. Maybe 1/2 a cup's worth, around that much. Add food coloring to it to get it to the color you want.
Then you can either pour both batters in simultaneously. OR put the white batter in first then pour the colored batter in slowly while using a knife to swirl it in the cake. But don't over swirl or you are just mixing it all together.

Re: Sydnie's 2nd birthday cake-Trial 1
I was trying to find a pic of what it looks like inside...but couldn't.
I did however find a picture of it being eaten though. FYI...make sure you have a towel down...and strip Syd down to at least a t-shirt.

That is great!!!!!
I was wondering if since now she knows what cake is (her 1st birthday was the first time she had cake), if she's going to dive right in a smash it...

I got the candy melts from Michael's and made a mold. That was the hardest part.
