swollen feet

Okay, so last week I asked everyone what i should do at work because we had to lift heavy things today. well, i was good and didnt do any lifting but was on my feet a lot today. I actualy just got home from work when i started at 8:30. Now my right foot and ankle is swollen and im only 14 weeks preggo.

Do you think its something i should worry about??? It think its from being on my feet for so long, plus i had flip flops on. What do you guys think. I would think that I should have swollen feet already at 14 weeks. Im a little worried.

Re: swollen feet

I started experiencing swollen feet after my 19th week. I don't have it all the time but I noticed that I do after long days and when I've walking around a lot. If I were you, I would not lift anything heavy either. And when you see your feet like that, just try to put them higher when you are sitting so that the swelling subsides a bit. I asked my DR. and he told me as long as your feet are not hurting you when you are standing from the swelling, there's nothing to worry about. Just elevate them higher when you sit down.

Re: swollen feet

I had swollen ankles last week. I put my feet up everytime I could and it went away within a day. I think mine may have been from salty foods, so I'm trying to avoid anything too salty. They've been much better this week.

Re: swollen feet

It's not too early for swollen feet- this weather combined with you being on them all day can cause you to swell.

I have had this problem on and off the last couple of weeks- drink LOTS of water- stay away from all salt and if you can go for a nice swim- I come out new person after a nice dunk in the pool- I swear by it now!

Re: swollen feet

In my prenatal yoga class, almost everyone had swollen feet - even those in their 2nd tri. Pretty much everyone attributed it to the heat. I am 37+ weeks and mine have been swollen since that first heat wave a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone remember how on liweddings people would post their wedding dress, etc? I feel like we could all post photos of our feet - maybe someone could get a prize...We certainly deserve one!! Chat Icon
