Swollen belly
I look 4 months pregnant. Someone congratulated me yesterday on the street. My mother-in-law told me she knew I was pregnant.
My egg retrieval was August 1. Could it still be from the IVF drugs? I had OHSS but the dr said it's getting better. Maybe it's that? Just kind of hard when my pregnancy is in limbo to have people keep asking.
What's your experience, ladies?

Re: Swollen belly
Ohh it's definitely still from those drugs.
When I was pregnant from both IVF and IUI, I looked like I was much further along than I was. I felt ridiculous once going to a family thing because I was only 6wks but I looked like I was bigger than I was last year at 16wks pregnant!! (Granted I had triplets, though they were all the size of blueberries at the time!!)

I'm not sure if it makes a difference between the IVF and IUI bloat... but when I was pregnant last year from IUI, it started to go down around 11wks, but then came back a few weeks later as a legitimate baby belly.

Sweet Jesus, 11 weeks???!!!! OMG.
PennyCat--did your family know you were pg at that party? I've only told my parents, and didn't want to tell others, especially because of my situation, but I feel like it's the elephant in the room (or in my belly).

That's how it was for ME... as with everything IF related... it's different for everyone!! .. but honestly I just learned to hold my bloat proud and pretended it was a regular old pregnant belly At that point I didn't care, I was just too happy to be pregnant!!!
At that family thing where I looked pretty ginormous... some people knew I was pregnant.. others didn't, although I am sure they suspected it and just didn't say anything!!
As far as not wanting people to know yet sporting that bloat around... just ignore it. People can think what they want. Don't feel obligated to explain anything or come out until you are ready!!
