Switching Health Insurance
Has anyone every switched insurance companies during their pregnancy? I want to switch to my DH's insurance company because his job covers it completely and it is also better coverage. I currently pay into my coverage and it would be nice to have the extra $ in my paycheck. I'm concerned that my DH's insurance company might not accept me because I am already pregnant and it acts as a "pre condition" ? I am going to call his insurance company next week before I go an cancel my current plan. I was just curious to see if anyone ever switched to a diff insurance company, and did the new company accept you knowing that you were pregnant?

You should be fine with the "pre-existing condition", as long as you have had continual coverage under another plan. The only time that comes into play is if you have a break in coverage before picking up the new plan.
