switched to formula-vitamins still necessary?
I was exclusively bfeeding and was told to give poly-vi-sol and iron. I slowly transitioned to formula and now am almost exclusively formula.. do I still have to give those vitamins? TIA!

I gave DS (who was FF from the beginning) vitamin d starting at about 1 month. At 6 months the Dr gave me a script for vitamins with fluoride and iron (I live in nassau so fluoride is not added to the water) HTH!!

No do not give iron on top of formula, it can be dangerous.
The only thing formula may not have enough of is vit D, since every year seems like they say babies need more of it, and formula takes a year to catch up.
Eta: Formula should have enough iron... I said dangerous because iron overdose in children can be lethal.
