Swings for infants
I'm thinking of buying my 6 week old DD a swing. I held off until now because of space but she's a little colic so I may just give in.
To those that have the fisher price swing:
Did your babies like it? Can it be folded up for when not in use? And do you know if BBB or BRU let's you try it out using a display model?

Swings for infants
I had the fp snuggabunny and both my babies loved it. Well worth it even at this age. It does not fold up but imo a compact swing is not really worth it. I don't think I'd try out a display model.

Re: Swings for infants
DS LOVED his swing. DD never took to the swing, but I also didn't put her in it as much. She did love her RnP.
The swing we had was big and we left it out all the time, though they do make smaller ones, too. IMO, it's worth it for the 5 or so months to just leave it out and then pack it away when the baby gets bigger.

Re: Swings for infants
We had the FP Snugabunny for my last 2 kids and they loved it. I was sad when we had to put it away
It could be folded if necessary but still was a bit awkward looking. They were in it frequently so we moved an end table out of the living room and just put it there for the time we used it.

we bought a small compact one because I hate how big the frames are on the swings they sell now and my son absolutely hated it. I was totally against the mommaroo because of the cost but I borrowed a friends to try and he loved it so I ordered my own. its much smaller then the traditional swings and it was a life saver.

I agree with her about the mamaroo. I said above that I got the ingenuity swing, but I also have a mamaroo. I love it because it is really compact and isn't an eyesore like other swings. Unfortunately, dd didn't like the right-to-left swinging motion that you get with a mamaroo. I ended up buying the other one because it's a traditional front-to-back swing

Re: Swings for infants
The fp snugabunny was a godsend. Like pp mentioned, it takes up space but was well worth the real estate. My cousin took mine when we were done to put in her tiny apartment - she had gotten the mamaroo and it didn't do anything for her baby, but her baby loved the swing. Each baby is different but mine were colic and that swing and the way it cradled them worked.
