Swim classes

Posting here since everyone will be having LO's soon. If anyone is interested in swim classes. Safe-t-swim offers free classes from 2-6 months. I just signed my 3w old up. She starts in July.

Swim classes

That's cool. I didn't realize they were free up until 6 months. DS started around 10 months.

Re: Swim classes

I was told this by our current instructors. My only question would be is it ok for a baby 2-6 months to be in that chlorine-I haven't asked the ped yet.

my ped was a no on that because of toxemia- if they swallow too much water under 6 months its very dangerous.

Saf-t-swim pools I believe aren't all chlorine... I think they are also salt water based... IDK if that matters... And in the baby and me they don't go under water until the last class and they shouldn't swallow the water in the way they teach it.

Re: Swim classes

One of my friends is an instructor and part owner of a safe-t-swim. He said, even though they do, he wouldn't have a baby start under 6m.
