Swelling...

Holy swollen feet!!! I work in social work and one client said to me today... "Ms. Nicole you don't have any ankles!! "

Can't seem to get them to go down. I don't have much rest time; not sure what else to do. Kinda worried as I'm only six months; I guess I'll talk to my Dr. On Tuesday and see if he is concerned.....

Re: Swelling...

i was the same with both pregnancies. my ankles began to swell around 20 weeks and that was that. not much worked for me except extended elevation, like sleeping at night with my feet on a few pillows. but after a day at work they'd just puff right back up again. with my first pregnancy i wore compression stockings but it may be a bit hot for that now. also, i noticed when i wore sneakers or boots or any shoe with tightness and support, they swelled less. flats and flip flops really worsened the problem for me.

good luck and know that youre not alone. i am 6 days post partum and mine are STILL swollen.

Is that next Tuesday?

Listen, I don't want to be an alarmist but any time you are concerned about swelling you need to see your doctor. It could just be humidity or it could be more serious. When I first started swelling I blamed it on the heat and it turned out to be early preeclampsia. You can't blow off swelling! I'm not trying to scare you but you should see your doctor.

I can no longer see my ankles. I hope I wake up tomorrow and have my feet back.
