Sushi- is it....??

Is it ok to eat cooked sushi rolls every week (once a week)? I assume it is, so long as the fish is low in mercury, but I just want to make sure. I've been having it a lot (no more than once a week), but usually 3 rolls- spicy crunchy shrimp/avocado, crab/avocado and either veggie or shrimp/mango, I assume the amount of fish in 3 rolls is less than or equal to the amount of low mercury fish I should be eating weekly..... I otherwise eat very little fish.

I want to order now... thanks!!

Just make sure its a place you visit a lot and know its clean, sometimes they can make the cooked rolls on the same board as the raw rolls, so you want to make sure the place is very clean!!

And I believe shrimp and crab are low mercury fish so you don't have to limit your servings of them. I think it is fine!

Re: Sushi- is it....??

Current fish recommendations are max 12oz/wk. If it's tuna, 6oz/wk. Just get it from a place you trust and you should be A OK!Chat Icon The risk with sushi is that your immune system isn't as it was pre pregnancy, therefore if you get sick, it will be harder to fight/you're more likely to get sick. This is not something that directly affects baby, just mommy. Enjoy!Chat Icon
