Survived DD's First Trip!
I had a work conference in Boston last week and since DH had some time off to use before the end of the year (or lose the days), he and DD (3 1/2 mos at the time) came with me.
We brought a ridiculous amount of stuff. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty smooth. We took her out to dinner for the first time and 2 of the 3 nights, she slept the entire night in her stroller, including DH's birthday. We extended the trip to see some friends and family and it all went well.
I feel like this was a hurdle we got through. We are traveling for Thanksgiving and I'm not looking forward to it, but I know we'll survive. For those that are on the fence, just go for it. Either way, you can see how it goes and know for future trips.

Boston was dds first trip too! She was exactly 3 months. Next up for you first flight! Which was also a piece of cake and I packed a ridiculous amount of stuff.

Survived DD's First Trip!
Glad it went well. My DS went on his 1st trip to Ireland at 7 weeks and DD went at 12 weeks. They were both great. They have both been on multiple long car trips by the time they were 1 year. The older it gets the harder it is lol.

Glad for you!
We went to DC for our 1st with DS when he was 3 months & had a great experience.
Went to Newport with DD at 3 months & it was terrible (and she's the good baby)! Go figure!

Congrats! It gets easier and you get better at packing less stuff. We were in nashville last weekend, and went with just two carry on suitcases and a steoller
