Surburban Exterminating
So I had a guy come today, my cat found a mouse, although we haven't seen any other indication, no mouse droppings, that I know of, the food boxes haven't been chewed through. Well I thought they would let me know if I do indeed have mice or it was an isolated incident, all they did was tell me the price of the yearly plan, what's the point of coming to my home. He was here literally 5 minutes! I am so annoyed!

Surburban Exterminating
Was this an actual exterminator or the person who talks about the plans, etc? We had a consultation first.

Re: Surburban Exterminating
I thought it was a consultation, I assumed the guy was an exterminator, maybe he wasn't. I am just disappointed because I thought I would have confirmation. I am having major panic attacks over the mouse, silly I know, but I was hoping he would alleviate my fears.

Honestly I don't know that he could tell you anything. You have to set traps and wait a few days and look for evidence. Either he sets them or you do it. But unless he started tearing out all of your walls there is no way he can tell you it's an isolated incident. We had experience with mice and my suggestion is just to set a few traps and see if you get anything.

We got traps today, I am hoping we don't catch anything. I really am freaking out about it. I don't even know where/what to clean to disinfect because I don't know where it was!

Re: Surburban Exterminating
Did he look around under sinks and stuff? If he did them he tried selling a plan then maybe he didnt see anything and you don't have them so he's just trying to sell you something. When we called we saw a termite swarm in the sunroom. They checked the house and didn't see any nest or damage or holes so they sold us the yearly sentricon.

Re: Surburban Exterminating
He didn't look anywhere!!!!
I just called them again, to say, maybe they misunderstood me, I wanted a consultation to see if yes we do have something, or no we don't. The woman was arguing with me that he did a walkthrough. She said "When he walked in, he probably saw that you had an issue" and I was like "He can smell mice?" Last night we set up two traps, nothing in them this morning, no droppings and no food is chewed. I called Arrow, because I need peace of mind, because I am crazy, and they will come for 195 and look for mouse droppings and urine I guess, and look in the foundation for any holes where a mouse could have gotten in.
My husband/mom/dad everyone thinks it was a one time thing, that one just snuck in, we have three cats, so who knows, but I am still so skeeved, I need to know for sure. Now it's just convincing him it's worth spending the 200, even though he thinks i am crazy
ETA So Suburban just called me back, the guy that came to give me the estimate told the woman that he looked in the cabinets and saw mouse droppings, he never, ever did that!!! What a liar, you can bet your bottom dollar I will never use them.

I can't stand Suburban. My DH used to work for them and they jerked him around so badly.
