 supper excited puppy
our dog is a little over a year and for the most part is pretty well behaved. She knows all of the basic commands. She struggles with come and here, but we are working on it.
Her major issue is, is that she cannot contain herself when she sees people. She jumps, rolls over, licks, mouths and pulls untill she can get to the person. She will sit if you tell her too, but that only lasts so long, but she can't control herself and continues to try to get to the person.
Any suggestions on how to help this?

 Re: supper excited puppy
You could try ignoring her when you come into a room, and have everyone else do that too. If you don't pay attention to her as much it will probably get her to calm down. At least when you first come in, stay calm and don't make a fuss and she will calm down and then when she is calm you can reward her with treats and attention. All the "experts" seem to say that we get them all excited by coming in and making a big deal about coming home/to see them and that gets them all worked up.
