Suggest a color
DH and I are going to paint the stairway this weekend. I need help with color selection. We have an open floor plan. Here are pics of the stairway (behind the wall) and the LR.
Our kitchen/dining area is a mustard yellow. What color should we paint this? DH would like to paint it a dark color and while I think he is right we plan on selling within the next year or so, should we stick to a light color?
We now have harwood floors (got rid of carpet) and don't mind the Thomas Kincade pic, that's DH's!!!!! It's now in the closet and has been replaced with a custom 3 pic black wooden frame of our engagement photos.

I would go with a darker color for some contrast. maybe check out the other colors on the paint chip card you used for the LR to see if one would work.

I agree. A dark color would accent the light colors you picked for the decor.
