suffolk ob patients, how late do you have to be for induction

Just wondering if my baby decided to arrive late, when will they usually induce you? I am measuring average so she is not too big either..

Thanks for any info!

I haven't reached that point yet (i'm only 28 weeks Chat Icon ) but my best friend (another suffolk patient) had her DS 6 weeks ago and they told her their practice is to not let you go beyond 10 days past due. She was induced when she was 41w.

I was induced at 41 weeks also. DD was born on the 8th day past my due date.

I begged and begged at the end to be induced because I was miserable but they won't do anything before 40 weeks unless there is a medical reason. I had GD and the baby was measuring big so they scheduled me for a C-section at 39 weeks BUT as far as induction.........they won't even discuss it until you are past your due date.

Thanks for the tips! I just wondered how long i would have to wait for them to even consider an induction...
Dont ask me why but i just have a hunch she will be late...

Maybe i am still too soon to tell!
