I researched and got this number for Suffolk county homes.
To find out true taxes on a house, call
451 9009
Press 9 at recording

this number is just for the Town of Brookhaven 
here are the other numbers:
Town of Babylon: 957-3004
Town of Huntington: 351-3217
Town of Islip: 224-5580
Town of Smithtown: 360-7610

the man that gave me this was from Mark Lewis (tax greivence) i called and the woman was very helpful.

as much as I hate Crookhaven sometimes - i must say any time I have called the town the people have been very helpful.
