Subchorionic hematoma?
Has anyone else had this? Just came from the Dr for my 1st sono, and he saw a subchorionic hemmorage. He described it as a small hemmorage between my uterus and the placenta.
No sex and no heavy lifting for now. .....

Could it have been a subchorionic hematoma ?
If so, I had one with both my DD and DS#2.....Both were on the small side , but they both did cause some bleeding ...They either become re-absorbed by the body or bleed out (like mine did)....
If you search "subchorionic" on here , you should get lots of related posts...I had no idea how common they were until I had one
Pelvic rest, no heavy lifting etc....

I had one for a long, long time. Actually between my amniotic sac covering my cervix.
Never bled. I think it just got reabsorbed or it could still be there, but they haven't really made mention of it. Mine was there because in the beginning of pg I had placenta previa and sometimes it can leave a small blood clot when it moves away from the cervix. I don't do heavy lifting anyway (unless, of course, its my son), and I can't have sex because I have a cerclage (poor DH). But I had one when I was pg with my son and everything was fine. Just make sure you follow your doc's instructions and really actually don't have sex or lift heavy things! That's what your DH is for!!!

yes, they found one at 12 weeks and another one at 14 weeks for me.
From what I hear the ones that are at the very begining of the pregnancy (1st sono) are more common and less worry-some bc it could just be from implatation. Since mine didnt show up to 12 weeks they are a little bit more concerned - but nothing too bad. Just the same restrictions as others have mentioned and closey monitored.
