Stupid question about 2 year old preschool program
Do they need a backpack? My daughter is starting a 2 day, 2 hour program on Thursday.

I doubt it. She will most likely be dropped off and picked up by you so won't need a backpack. The teacher will give things straight to you.

My son needed a full sized backpack for the 2 yr old program. If the didnt send you a letter of what you need, I would wait to get it. I originally bought a toddler sized one, then needed to get the full sized one.

My DD started a two year old program on Monday. They said she needs a backpack. And not to get the toddler size one bc it will be too small. It won't fit their art projects.

I sent DS witjout one. I saw a bunch hanging up on the coat racks. I asked the teacher if he needed one and she said no. Other kids have change of clothes, wipes, ets. It sounded like a diaper bag.

We needed one for DD. The teacher sends us notices in it and it also has a change of clothing for DD.

My daughter started today and asked for one so I got her one (her big sister 4yrs- is next door and so she wanted to be like her). I think only one other child had one. They have a cubby that they keep a change of clothes so it isn't necessary at our school - my DD#1 didn't get one until 3. But I got one for her this year b.c honestly it is nice to have if not for anything else but to put their letters, art work etc into them.

DS is starting a 2 year program and we were told we don't NEED a bookbag and def not a full-sized one. I bought DS a toddler sized one for him to carry but I expect to carry his artwork/papers myself.

When DD was in the 2 year old program she needed a full sized backpack. As PP have said, it was for papers, projects and to keep her change of clothes.
