When do the doctors start doing the interals to check if u are dilatied etc.
I'm 34 weeks

36 weeks I believe....but I have been having them done weekly since 28 weeks because I was having contractions. Only one time was it really bad.(by really bad, I dont mean painful...just more uncomfortable than the othres). I guess it was just in the way the baby was positioned

My doctor checked once at 37 weeks because I was having contractions. The next week I had a different doctor and he didn't do it so I asked him why not and he told me "I personally don't see a reason to start untill your due date." I asked why do some people get checked starting at 36 weeks and he said he doesn't understand why they even do it before the dues date, lol. So I am not a good person to answer this. The next time I was checked was 1 day after my due date.

I think protocol is 36 weeks...I have them every time I go so I can base it upon my experience..( I have cervix issues)
