Strollers... LOST!!
What on earth do I do? A regular stroller? A City Mini? Both??
How do you decide?
I want a system that converts from the car seat to the stroller. Easy to fold up. But also, I think, kind of traditional looking.
Tell me about your choice and what you love/hate about it! HELP!!!

I have a regular stroller(Quattro Tour), which is perfact for malls and departments stores and the Instep Safari jogger, perfect for dirt roads and walking/running with both kids and for fairgrounds or grass.

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
Light weight was the most important feature for me. I am getting the snap n'go for the car seat to snap in to. It's very light and convenient. I did like a Chicco travel system I saw, but then when I started pushing the City Mini around I fell in love. It's light and ridiculously easy to fold up and open. Go to the store and test them out and see which one works best for you.

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
i was lost too. the conclusion i came to was this: i did not want a heavy or bulky travel system. according to baby bargains, graco snugride is a good car seat. sooooo, i bought the graco snugride car seat, the graco snug rider frame which is light weight and easy to maneuver. i also registered for the city mini, for when the baby is bigger.

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
we did the city mini which we LOVE, and the key fit 30 for the car seat- we originally bought the adaptor to hook up the car seat to the stroller but then realized that the snap and go was the same price, so we exchanged it.

We did all of this with the exception of the snap and go, although that's not a terrible idea! Lightweight and easy to work with were important for us, and once you try the city mini in the store, you might be sold!

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
Wish DS I registered (and received) the Graco Quattro Tour. Wish I thought about it a little more and read into it. I never realized the stroller was 27 pounds! Talk about a heavy PITA stroller.
I used the Snap N Go with the infant carrier as long as possible. Then after a few uses of the stroller I realized I hated it and wanted something smaller. So once DS was out of the infant carrier (8 months or so) and in the convertible car seat I went and bought the Peg Perego Aria.
It's a lightweight stroller (7lbs), has snack tray and cupholder for DC, and a parent cupholder. It reclines and maneuvers relatively well.

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
I'm struggling with this too! DH and I love the City Select and the City Mini, but I wonder if the City Mini is light enough to be considered a lightweight stroller.
Love all the different positions of the City Select and the basket is amazing. With the City Mini, it doesn't really seem like the basket is very usable
Also, DH is super picky and only likes strollers with one handle, as opposed to the two that most super lightweight strollers have!

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
I do A LOT of walking - so having good tires was a must for me -
I have a bugaboo cameleon, which I got the carseat adapter for (so it's used like a snap n go) w/ my Graco Snugride infant seat.
I actually also had a City Mini and sold it, but I know I am the minority, but I HATED it. - Well, I liked it, but my son (who will gladly sit in the stroller forever) was so uncomfortable in it - I got a Peg Perego Vela as my 'ultra lightweight' stroller .........but nothing can compare to that Bug IMO so I opt to take it in/out of the car instead of the vela -
Now that we need a double, I'm getting the City Select - it's the closest I can come to the Bug in a double, w/o spending $2k ON the Bug's double
So let me also add for those 1st time Mommies, if you're thinking of having another I'd personally go w/ something like the City Select that you CAN turn into a double later on, rather than having to shell out the EXTRA EXTRA cash for the double - I'm peeved I'm going to have 3 strollers now - SO not necessary !!

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
I wish with DD I had researched a little more with strollers, we ended up with 3 strollers, well 4 if you include the snap and go which I personally hated and thought it was so rickety but that is JMO. We recently sold all our strollers and are starting fresh for the twins and DD. We bought the City Select and I have to say we LOVE it. I love that it's a single stroller but you can buy the extra seat and it becomes a double, should you decide to have more children and in our case this will be for the twins (we purchased the car seat adaptors). The stroller isn't light but it's not as heavy as our Peg Perego and it's a smooth riding stroller with great features and also folds up with the seat attached which is nice. I also like how I can still use it as a single for DD now and in the future. We bought DD a Meclaran Triumph and we love that as well, simple, lite does the job! I am also going to look into a triplet stroller for exercise when I am able to get all 3 of them out together.
After all that rambling, I suggest looking into the City Select. We bought the 2010 one from Albeebaby.com and got a great deal!!

Re: Strollers... LOST!!
Thank you all soooooo much!
I really was having a mini anxiety attack about this last night... I feel a little better now with your help! I think I just have to make one of those appointments with a personal shopper at Buy, Buy Baby and try everything out. I'm thinking the City Select though. About how much does that one weigh? Thank you!!!
