Strollers after infant seat

Hello mommys! I'm crashing from the pregnancy board.

It's registering time..and I'm thinking strollers.

Ok. I have decided I want the snap and go for my infant seat. i hear it's veyr easy and light and I want that ease..

So then what happens after that? There are so many expensive strollers out there and I wonder if they are necessary. i have heard mothers say they have a really expensive stroller and all the kid wants is the umbrella stroller?

What are your thoughts on this? I figure experience has to beat out the newest "trends" lol

This is the kind of question where you'll get a million different answers/opinions. A lot of it depends on your lifestyle and personal preference.

Besides the snap n go which was the greatest thing ever when DD was smaller, I mostly use my lightweight stroller (Chicco Liteway). It reclines all the way, which was good for when she was younger and is still good if she wants to nap in there. It's easy to handle and take anywhere. The only downside to this stroller IMO is the small basket/bag it uses but many of the lightweight strollers have this issue. I also have a full size stroller with a large basket and all the bells and whistles but I hardly use it. It's too heavy and bulky and in hindsight should have not registered for it. Thank you so much! See I was looking for an inexpensive option. I don't want to spend a fortune on a stroller...and I am a wuss and don't want a heavy/bulky one. I want it easy...(if something like that exists) I just googled the one you mentioned...looks perfect. says it goes till 40 lbls...now I have zero idea...how old are they when they get that size? would I then have to get another??

Re: Strollers after infant seat

I have a bugaboo and my son prefers it over everything else -
it's the most comfortable. he's napped for over 2 hours at a time while I've wheeled over the cobblestone in downtown NYC -

I had the infant seat adapter for it -

I also have a lightweight Peg Perego vela that I use now for quick in and outof the car trips -

but the Bug is my main and favorite stroller

Re: Strollers after infant seat

I personally dont think its necessary, but thats just me. Ive gone through SO many strollers, full size and umbrella alike and settled on the graco metrolite a my favorite, which is under $100.

It has all the bells and whistles of a full size (cup holder, positions, snack tray, large basket, one hand fold and lift, handles great), but none of the bulk or weight, so its convenient like a umbrella is.

I have the Snap and Go for the infant seat and a Maclaren Quest for now.

It's lightweight and easy to fold up and doesn't take up my whole trunk.

Part of me wishes I had gotten the City Mini though.
