strollers - why is it so hard???!!!
I was all set to register for a city mini... but I have a huge issue when strollers do not have leg/foot support for kids. I don't think they should have their feet just hanging and dangling.... so now it is off my list.
Anyone have a stroller with a foot rest/leg support that they love and recommend???
Anyone have the city elite????

I have the Britax B Ready and the seat has an adjustable footrest. I actually have it so DD can sit with her legs crossed in the seat because that's how she likes to sit lol. I didn't like the citi mini because of how leaned back she was. She likes to be completely upright. No matter what stroller she's in, she usually balances her feet up over the tray or bar rest. It's pretty funny. She's a "feet up" kind of girl.

We also have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 that I ADORED because it's so nice and light weight. Here you can see her sitting in it with her feet up (the bottom also adjusts). I got it on CL used for $100. If I were going to get a new one, I'd get the kind that you can flip the handles around so the baby can face you or away.

I think the elite was discontinued? Maybe that was just the double.
I have a Mini and FWIW, DD never dangled.
I have a Chicco Cortina too, and it has an adjustible foot/leg rest (and 1000x more storage than the Mini).

strollers - why is it so hard???!!!
I'm confused... my 3 year old was just in the city mini we got for the baby, his feet rested on the stroller on the black ledge below the logo.

100% Uppa Baby Vista. $$$$$ but so worth it.
I have a 2011 City Mini also and HATE it - will be selling it by winter - before #2 arrives.

I just can't see spending that much... I would feel bad even registering for one so $$$... but I am strange!
Why didn't you like the City Mini?

come see both, i have them both
if you love a certain stroller and it is $$$, put it on your registry and let people go in on it together! The Vista is awesome because it acts as a snap and go, has a basinet for newborns and then the toddler seat all included. The basket is the BIGGEST on the market. It is very sturdy, wheels SO easily.
I am not a fan of the citi mini because I was spoiled by the basket on the vista. It just isnt as "robust" if that makes sense. It is small, folds nice, has a great canopy but thats about it. I just dont LOVE it.

I bought an uppababy vista on CL for 200 bucks. It's in great condition and even if I needed to replace the seat or something you can buy the parts and it would still be less than buying a new one. Others on CL I've seen go for about 400 so it's worth it to check it out and maybe haggle

we're getting an uppa baby vista too. we like the huge basket, and also live in the city, so needed a stroller that's good on less than ideal terrain.
also, we don't have a car, so weight was not a factor. but for people who will be putting their stroller in a trunk, the vista might be too heavy.

Re: strollers - why is it so hard???!!!
I obsessed about my stroller decision too and kind of wished we waited to make a decision. DS was in the snap and go for a VERY long time and it was great. He could look at us and we could see him. We bought a citi mini when he was still in the snap and go but I may have picked up something different if I had put thought into it. The mini is great – easy to maneuver and close up. The bottom storage isn’t great and the accessories are all costly and I hate that I have to take the tray on and off to close the stroller (we barely use the tray for that reason). At a garage sale we picked up a little Maclaren umbrella stroller for $8 and I love it! It’s so easy to maneuver and I can throw it over my shoulder when we commute on the subway. I also love that I don’t care about the stroller – I’m not sure what mommies with the more expensive strollers feel about their strollers, but we’ve happily walked on hard sand at the beach with ours and had other spills and mishaps without much stress. Now – I’m obsessing about a double stroller, urgh!

you have to take the snack tray on and off to close it? I do not! I have the 2010 (or 11, not sure) maybe that is the difference?

This - we are city & car people, so we got the Uppa Baby Cruz which is a little less wide and weighs less, same big basket and features though, minus the bassinet and larger back wheels. It's a great compromise and less $ too.

I don't know which one we have - probably the 2010. And maybe I'm just an idiot?? I'll have to check when I get home from work!! Thanks!

I went with the Britax B-Ready-haven't used it yet; but loved the configurations it offered; and it had really good reviews.

I have a City Mini bought in 2009 and a McClaren Volo bought in 2011. I love them both for different reasons.
Probably going to get the City Mini double for #2.
