stroller ramp
anyone build (or buy) their own stroller ramp to get in and out of their house easier? we have 4 or 5 steps leading out of the house and my mother is already worried about managing a double stroller down the steps. she will be watching the kids at our house when DC2 arrives, and they go for walks daily (even in the winter)...so she would prefer to not have to load up the stroller while outside. we came across the idea of a stroller ramp but the ones i see on amazon for wheelchairs are only for a 1ft incline (and we have about a 2 foot incline). DH says FIL can build us one, but im a little hesitant about all the weight being supported

Re: stroller ramp
Just search for wheelchair ramps. I did a quick search and found a few companies.

Many of these are portable, so you can set them up on days when your mom is watching DC, and take it down other days.
They are designed for a full-grown adult in a chair, with a full-grown adult pushing them, so they will easily be able to manage your mom with a stroller.

stroller ramp
Wheel chair ramps are a a certain slope so that the incline isn't too steep that they person couldn't wheel themselves up. Common is 1:12. I would not do a steep slope as your mom will need to wheel them up and down and a double stroller will be heavy and she may not be able to control it.
