stroller on the beach?
This is a stupid question but I don't know if a stroller rolls in the sand. I also have one of those plastic push cars, would that work? DD is 2 & I'm pretty sure she's not going to walk on the sand at first so I don't know how I can hold her & everything else- hence the reason we haven't been to the beach this summer Any tips would help!

Re: stroller on the beach?
i am at the beach every weekend and I bring my jogging stroller! The bicycle type wheels glide along the sand perfectly! just pull it backwards.. it acts as my high chair and napper for my DD and did for my DS and DD years ago too!!

stroller on the beach?
We bring a wagon instead of the stroller mostly so we can carry more stuff lol. But it rolls pretty well in the sand and I would think most strollers would be ok too. Have fun!

Re: stroller on the beach?
i used my Wonder wheeler- a MUST have for me- i throw everything into it, then picked up DD with one arm and pulled the WW onto the beach. it was really simple! i also chose beaches that had the parking lot close to the sand/beach!

The average stroller is NOT good on the sand! Unless you have a jogger, I'd avoid bringing it if possible.

I was at the beach in Montauk yesterday and my City Mini would not work on the sand. I'd say a wagon might work better.

Same here. We've dragged our City Mini since DS naps in it but it's a PAIN! Recommend a wagon or a beach cart.

Re: stroller on the beach?
It just sounds dirty to me. I feel like I'd be bringing home half the beach in my stroller!

Re: stroller on the beach?
I agree with other posters, jogging stroller only, We use our BOB on the beach and its the only type of stroller I'd recommend using.

This is what I'm going to get for next year. DS is still an infant right now, so theres nothing to really lug with us. I take my stroller and drag it backwards behind me.
