Stroller in the city?
I usually bring a stroller when I take my 3 year old into Manhattan but I'm undecided about it this time. We have a Bugaboo & it's so easy to push & comfy for her so I bring it in case there's a miracle & she falls asleep in it Since she's getting bigger, I don't use a stroller much but when I do she never wants to walk at all so I don't even want to bring it. On the other hand, I don't want a whiny kid! We're going from Penn station to Bryant park so it's not too far but I'm sure it will be a decent amount of walking by the end of the day. What would you suggest?
I also have a little light weight stroller which is good because it's smaller but it's such a pain in the butt to push, it doesn't go straight with one hand & it makes it really annoying.

Re: Stroller in the city?
It obviously depends on the kid. We went last weekend to manhattan with a 2 & 4 year old & didn't think of taking a stroller. We did a museum, Central Park & a meal (late lunch/early dinner). We usually go for 5-6 hours & nap our little one on the way home. That being said, we saw lots of older kids w strollers and a ton napping in them towards the middle of the day.

Re: Stroller in the city?
My boys are 5 and 3 now. My 3 yr old doesn't like to use the stroller bc he likes to walk like his big brother , but when I know we're walking a lot and don't want the kids slowing us down I take a stroller. DS2 will sit in it once in a while. We go to Great Adventure a lot and when they need to go to the other side of the park I have my 3 yr old sit in the stroller so we can move faster. When he's not in the stroller it's nice to have so I can keep some bags in it. We plan on going to the city next month and will take the stroller so I have an eye on DS. Also, when they're not in it and walking in a busy area or the street they have to hold onto the stroller.

Re: Stroller in the city?
The walk from Penn to Bryant Park is about a 15 minute walk and it's pretty congested. I'd recommend the stroller just to keep track of your daughter and make sure she doesn't get too tired/slow you down.

Bring it. You won't ever regret bringing it.
