stroller help!
Hi all - was hoping to get some opinions from those who have BTDT.
We are debating between the Uppababy Cruz and the CitiMini GT. We'd get the bassinet attachment for either of them. I really like the 1 handed fold of the CM GT. My husband really likes the UB because you can make the seat forward facing (though cannot fold it w the seat in that position).
We live in Brooklyn, so want a stroller that can handle bad sidewalks and that theoretically can be easily carried up and down subway stairs. We do have a car that we anticipate using more often, but not all the time.
We're also considering also getting a car seat stroller (not the attachment that goes on the stroller itself but the one that's made for the car seat) to keep primarily in the car, for situations when we would just be using that anyway, since they are lighter.
Any thoughts on any of the above?

Re: stroller help!
I had the UB Cruz and LOVED it! We sold it once I was pregnant a second time and needed to get a double. It's replacement cannot compare. I wish I still had it!
If you get the UB Mesa you can click it right into the frame of the Cruz. No adapters needed.
Just keep in mind that if you have a second close in age then this stroller might not be right for you. I wish I would have gotten the vista from the get go for this reason.

Re: stroller help!
I have the Cruz. I like that the baby can face you also but you really only use that feature for the first 6 months. After that they want to look forward at everything not you!! You don't need to buy a separate car seat stroller if you get the Cruz because you can use the frame like the snap and go. It's really not that much heavier than a snap and go frame I think. You just have to buy the attachment. I believe it's heavier than the city mini so if your going to be going up and down stairs the city mini might be a better fit. I keep mine in my trunk and have the gluxe umbrella stroller that I use for vacations. I don't mind the fold but I know the city mini is easier. I just always put the baby in the car first and open or close it. Never really needed to open it while holding her.

I love the city mini gt! Mine is 8 years old, has been though three kids and is still going strong. It is super easy to fold and carry...you can do it with one hand while you hold your baby in the other. We used in it on NYC sidewalks and it handles very well. I definitely recommend it

We have both. I LOVE the Cruz. I absolutely hate the City Mini. Other than the easy fold, I hate that stroller.

Is there a particular reason why?

i have the city select and love it. I know it's not the same as the city mini, but i got the bassinet attachment and we hated it. If you go with the city mini, the bassinet isn't worth it IMO. As a newborn (in July), DD was rolling around a ton in it and would scream on walks. She couldn't really use it until closer to 3 months comfortably, but at 4 months I just bought a body support pillow and put her in the regular stroller which she loved. The bassinet for uppababy is alot nicer i've heard

I'd go with the cruz. It's more versatile. I found the bassinet option pointless. We never used it.

I have the vista and I'm a big walker, used the bassinet until he was sitting up! The carseat will also click right in so no need for another adaptor......

I have the city mini gt and I love it. My dd is three- it is the only stroller I used for her and it is still in great shape. The entire seat part of the stroller and the basket are machine washable- this has come in handy a few times especially after vacations. I love that it is so easy to fold and carry. It also handles well on any surface. I never used the bassinet- when dd was very small I used her infant car seat with the adapter for the stroller.

I have the Vista and like it, though admittedly I don't use it all that often. If you're going to get the Cruz and the bassinet I'd probably just get the Vista since it comes with the bassinet and has a bigger basket.
