stroller for trips with a 5 year old
I brought my 5 year old to the city with me on friday and our city mini just didn't cut it. She's 52 pounds and the weight limit for the stroller is 50. From what i can tell not many strollers go above the 50-55 range.
I was looking at the BOB motion stroller as it goes to 70 pounds. Does anyone have experience with this stroller? Or recommendations for another stroller that can be used for trips with an older child.

I have a maclaren quest that my 7 year old still sits in when we go to sesame place or hershey park. I don't know the weight limit but my son is 50lbs.

Re: stroller for trips with a 5 year old
I just went to the city with my 6 year old and took our baby jogger citi mini GT. It was the best stroller to use there. Holds up to 75 pounds. it is heavier then the citi mini but so worth it. I used a britax bagile on our last trip and it was horrible. And my son is 12 pounds under the weight limit for that one. The wheels sucked with all the pot holes and uneven pavement.

Thanks. I was hoping for a cheaper option than the GT

I had a britax Bnimble with a 55lbs weight limit and a small kid and it was horrible in the city. The wheels can't keep up with the potholes and whatnot. I have used a peg perego pliko -3 and a graco metrolite and they don't compare to the GT. I sold 2 of my strollers to buy the gt.

I bought the GT. Found last years model on sale. I sold my current city mini to mitigate the cost.

Do you have access to a BBB store? I'd test drive a few strollers esp if you are looking for a stroller only occasionally (esp with a big 5 year old). I liked the Joovy brand (but that was for a double).

That is great... Enjoy.... We spent 8 hours in the city last week and I had no issues with the GT.
