Stride Rite Shoes?

Am I crazy for buying my DD $50 shoes from stride rite every few months?

She's 14 months and on her second pair.

What shoes do you put on your DC?

Stride Rite Shoes?

I buy all my dd's shoes from stride rite. IMO I think it's worth the money. They give her the most support and I find they last longer too.

DD is 18 months and on her 4th or 5th pair of stride rite's. Definitely the way to go imo but I really try not to pay full price. I buy two pairs whenever they run the bogo sales so I always have the next size or two ready for when she seemingly outgrows a pair overnight. I've also gotten some awesome scores from the clearance rack in the outlet.

Stride Rite Shoes?

I go to the Stride Rite in the Sunrise Mall and every few months, when it's "time" for DS to get a new pair of shoes, they send me a $5 off coupon. I don't know if the other stores do that, but it helps!

I tend to buy Stride Rite shoes on sites like 6pm.com where they are discounted. I bought a few pairs at 50% off recently. I also look for them in Nordstrom Rack whenever I'm there. I like their quality a lot, but I have a hard time spending retail on shoes that they outgrow so quickly!

I tend to get them at the outlet during a BOGO sale. I also have found them at Century 21 as well.

When she was little I bought all her shoes from Stride Rite. DD had a wide foot, still does but as she grows it's getting a little narrower. Now that she's almost 2.5 I get her shoes from different places - Stride Rite, Nordstrom, Target, Marshalls.

Same here. She has so many shoes, many different brands, but the first few shoes were stride rite

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

Go to the outlets. Practically half price.
I do insist on Stride Rite shoes at that age- because I feel it's important that their developing feet have proper shoes and support.
We bought her first pair at the Stride Rite store and spent over $50.
Then I wised up and found the Outlets.
Same shoes- half the price.

I really like Stride Rite shoes and how they support little feet. Dd is learning to walk and she seems to be more stable when she's wearing her stride rite shoes vs other shoes. We lucked out and found a pair for her at the stride rite outlet on clearance 70% off.

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

Editted bc I didn't answer the question. I always bought DS Stride Rite and that age. Even now at 4 we still buy Stride Rite. I'm a horrible sale shopper so I never get a deal on them but they are great quality and worth the expense.

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

Since DD started waking, I always make sure she has at least 1 pair of Stride Rite shoes and a good pair of sneakers (New Balance) for the park.

However, I've found that Shoes.com & Shoebuy.com sell stride rite brand for cheaper than in the store. Plus they usually have a coupon code and shipping is free both ways!

I actually took Dd into Stride Rite to be measured, but since they weren't having any sales, I went home and ordered 2 pairs from Shoebuy.com

(If you have ebates, Shoebuy also has a high cash back %).

I buy a lot of shoes at Stride Rite but mostly because DD has a wide foot and it is really hard to find wide elsewhere. Payless is extremely limited. I just never buy without coupons and try to hit the sales.

I do this too. I wait for the buy one get one sale and then I get both kids shoes at the same time, although I just had to get DD new sneakers because she had a huge growth spurt on Monday and grew 3 inches after not growing for 6 months. I spent $52 on new shoes for her. I feel ya.

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

I stick with Stride Rite shoes since my kids have wide and XW feet.

I buy when they send coupons or when they have a buy one get one half off sale.

I also signed up for their rewards points. I don't know the exact dollar amounts, but it's like for ever $50 you spend, they will send you a $10 coupon in the mail. With 2 kids, that adds up.

I get them sized at the Stride Rite store in Commack, and also buy shoes at the stride rite outlet in DP if I can find their sizes.

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

I go to the outlets and get my DS his shoes there... I have never paid more then $29 for a pair of them. I usually go during their BOGO sale. I even got BOGO for 60% off the 2nd pair one day.

Re: Stride Rite Shoes?

Stride Rite was just on zullily but I think it's over now. DD isn't walking on her own yet so I haven't bought any. I did buy a pair of robeez to keep her feet warm since it so cold already while she's cruising the house. We have tile floors and it gets chilly.
