Stretch Marks, when...
do they appear?
i'm 21 weeks and i haven't seen any. i'm hoping i'll get lucky and not get any at all. 
also, i read somewhere that lotions doesn't help so i haven't been good in using it everyday.

Maybe you'll be lucky andd not get stretch marks. I'm 31 weeks and I still haven't got any .I hoping for the same thing, that I also can go throught the whole pregnancy without geting them. I do use the Palmers Cocobutter everyday. I know they say it doesn't really help, butI use it anyways. Wishful thinking I guess. Good luck ,sorry I really don't have an answer. Congrats on my pregnancy.

I am 38.5 weeks and I don't have any stretchmarks. I have also not been a strict user of lotion of any kind.
I have heard that stretchmarks are genetic... if you are going to get them, you will get them. I also heard if your mom had them there is a good chance you will too, no matter how much lotion you slather on!
It's all luck in my opinion! Hope you don't get them!!!

I have stretch marks on my thighs from gaining a lot of weight in high school. At 24 weeks I'm waiting for the stomach marks to appear. I am using cocoa butter but not religiously.

At 36 weeks, I saw a mini one. I actually only saw a few small one after I gave birth. They were on my upper thighs and under belly...which I could not see for a while.

I got them less then one week before I had my son. He came 2 days before his due date. Now I am on my 3rd pregnancy and I am covered in them.

32 weeks here, up 16 pounds, and i haven't gotten any yet. my mother has some mild ones but my sister doesn't after 4 pregnancies. BUT i'm concerned because i do have some on my butt and thighs that i've had since my growth spurt as a teenager. so... i'm thinking i'm prone to them and i'm waiting for them to show up. i use my regular body cream on my tummy every day, like i do on the rest of my body. we'll see

I nvever got any stretch marks during my first pregnancy, and was hoping to get by this time too.....but at 36 weeks a few came out

i also have some from when i went through puberty and figured i would get them when i was peggos, but i was lucky and only ended up with a couple small ones on my hips and 2 or 3 little guys on the top of my butt LOL (cant figure that out) and those came out the last 4 weeks of the pregnancy and i gained 40 pounds (and so far lost around 30 of them), so i guess it doesn't matter or little or how much you gain, i did use cocoa butter religiously but i dont think thats what prevented them

I didn't get mine until AFTER she was born. I had NO stretch marks going into L&D, but 1 week after she was born, what do I see on my belly? STRETCH MARKS!!! It's only a couple- but they are most definitely there.
I don't even want to tell you about the stretch marks that appeared on my boobs- those only started a few weeks ago (I am BFing).

I have a few strech marks left over from being a bit overweight as a teenager, like on my hips and a little on my inner leg...but so far at almost 36 weeks I have none on my belly. I have never used any lotions to prevent them (they make my belly itchy!)
