Stressing a little about the nursery

The room that the nursery will be in is so small...10x10 with a large window and a closet (both on different walls). I am afraid the crib, dresser and chair will barely fit - let alone toys and stuff like thatChat Icon
We are Chat Icon and I don't like anything neutral in the bedding dept - I am 17 weeks and I am starting to stressssss! Anyone else have small rooms that fit everything nicely?!?!??!

10x10 isn't small!! that's about the size of my room I think and while we don't have baby furniture yet we fit a huge desk, a full size futon, and a bookcase in there so i'm not worried.

don't worry, you will make it work. Chat Icon

oh and you're lucky you have a closet - mine does not and THAT stresses me out because it means i probably need an armoire of some sort, not just a crib and dresser...

We kind of don't have a closet...the people who lived here before us added the closet to the other room...we are going to bring it back into the nursery because like you that was getting me nervous!

My LOs room will be 6x13 with a peaked roof...THAT is small. 10x10 sounds like it should fit everything nicely. I wouldn't freak out.

that size room is fine for a baby. If all you're putting is a crib, dresser and then eventually a toy chest or toys the baby will be fine in there. Remember, their clothes are tiny, you will fit tons of things in the draws.

10x 10 is not small at all. Ours is about 10 x 12. You should fit everything with no problem.

You will fit that! Our room is 9 1/2 x 13 and we will have a glider, crib, long dresser, wardrobe, and possibly night stand (depending if I want to spend the $ on that)

Our nursey is really small too. I'm just planning to have most of the playing done elsewhere. Hoping that the twin bed we have in there now will still fit in after the crib is put together. The dresser takes up almost one entire wall. We have a little 3 drawer thing also and that is all that fits!

Re: Stressing a little about the nursery

A lot of my friends' nursery/children's rooms are so much bigger, I guess I am used to seeing those rooms and it makes me worry about mine! We'll see how it goes...I will start my crib shopping in a couple of weeks :)
