Strange red blotches?
OK, so DS has been known to get some spots of eczema on his arms. Last night he had some strange red spots on the back of his knees and my mom told me that today he has some on his butt as well.
They are really bright red, not dry feeling and some are flat while others are just barely raised a tiny bit.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be? I don't think it is eczema because I thought those always had the dry feeling to them. They don't seem to be bothering him at all and he is not acting any different than usual (except for the tantrums he was throwing today!)

Maybe an allergic reaction to something? Sounds like what my daughter would get after someone gave her dairy

The ones on butt is it by a fold in the skin like the back of the knees?
I have excema and I get them on the inside part of my elbows.

I have excema and I get them on the inside part of my elbows.
He has a big spot of eczema on the inside of his elbow, but these other red blotches are different. They are much redder, range in size from a pencil eraser to a nickel, and do not have that dry feeling that his other eczema spots have.

Ok.. then its not eczema.. the ones i get are tiny and all same size.
Your sons sound like hives... could be an allergy or heat rash.. it is warm out today. Could be a reaction to clothing.
