Strange Question-- Overseas Returns at Harrods? UPDATE
Longshot, but I thought I would post. DH got me a gorgeous Ferragamo bag for Mother's Day. He bought it while in London this past week, and while the bag is beautiful, I just don't love how it "feels" on, and for something that so much $$-- I need to love every aspect of it. Plus, with a little baby-- I need something that is not cumbersome and won't fall off my shoulder.
I want to return, or exchange it for something else-- but have no clue HOW to do that. I contacted them, but was just wondering if anyone had experience.

So, Ferragamo wouldn't take it back without the receipt. So, we are going to send it to someone in DH's London office to return for us. HOPEFULLY, we won't end up with store credit to Harrods! Then I can pick out a new bag here!!
I did find a crappy pic of the bag online-- the one I have is brown though.
It's beautiful, but it's like crazy long.

I have a bag from there I dont use its still in my closet just because its from harrods and dont know the next time I will get there lol.
Post a pic I think you should keep it. Or maybe you can sell it.

Did you call customer service at Ferragamo? I would just say you got a gift and you would like to exchange it.
Wonder what they would do for you at the shop on the mile or in NYC.

Randi, my DH will be in London for two weeks beginning the end of May, let's hope he brings me back something great as well...Anyway, try the Ferragamo store in the city, I'm sure they can do something....

that's a good idea. The tags are not Harrod's tags-- I would totally exchange it for another one. I'll call them and see if I can do that.

I'm guessing it came in a dust bag.
I would bring it back and just tell them that you got the bag, not mentioning Harrods and see if they can exchange it.

yeah-- not going to mention that it didn't come from there!
There is a store at the Short Hills mall-- which is a little easier for me with the baby, as opposed to Manhattan. Maybe I will take DH this weekend and he can help me pick out something new-- this way he doesn't feel bad about me exchanging it!
Not like the bag has to be practical, but I gotta actually like wearing it, and not be annoyed. It's just super long, so unless I am decked, it just looks weird. It's probably meant to be very chic-looking. And it's too structured on the top. Just not comfy to wear.
I would post a pic, but I can't find one online and I am too lazy to take one myself.
