Strange Change at the GAP
I went yesterday to buy some shirts for DH. None of them came in XXL so I asked a manager if she had any in stock. She said that GAP will no longer carry XXL, you have to order it online.
Call me crazy, but GAP XXL is NOT that huge. DH lost so much weight since our wedding - he used to be XXXL - and I really don't think that he is that much bigger than "an average guy" PLUS it is not like he wants his sweaters to be skin tight either!
Maybe they should get rid of 00 before they get rid of the bigger sizes! Ugh, so frustrating bc then when I went online all the sweaters looked the same and I couldnt find the ones I liked!!
I feel like writing a strongly worded letter!

its so annoying....my DH is XXL too - he could probably wear XL, but he hates snug clothing. I just don't shop in places that don't carry XXL in the store.

noticed that a while ago with jeans. I loved a particular cut of jeans that they had and then the store only stocked up to size 12. I asked the sales person why, I needed a size 14, he said well people that shop in the GAP do not wear size 14!  Ok azzhat...whatever you say.

THAT is annoying. I mean so many stores are having difficulty with sales.. but not even having the merchandise in the store and only online is inconvienent for a lot of people.

wowww thats really weird... i used to work for the gap and XXL was the most requested size... dumb move... theyre going to lose a lot of customers bc of that..

I guess not only have they not met me, but they don't want to see me again! Additionally...I always thought I even saw 16s there! WTH?

NO!! i am a 00 and honestly the size is not that small. i NEVER see 00 (dresses) in stores and don't EVEN get me started on the non-existent in-store petites.

Eddie Bauer carries XXL. Banana Republic did carry XXL< not sure if they will do away with that too.

by doing that they are leaving money on the table. customers who need that size will just shop elsewhere. pretty stupid IMO.
I can't see why they would do something like that, esp in this economy, unless they weren't selling much XXL merchandise and this will actually save them $

same- only online and BR is another store where the sizes look smaller than they are.
My DH, another XXL guy.......... so Im with you on writing the letter!

I don't know if this is totally true or not, but DH went to the Gap yesterday and there was no 'short' in the store. He said they told him you have to order it online only now  I am hoping the pimply little tween had it wrong because I vary in size depending on the cut and I am not about to order and return a gazillion things
