Straightening Hair-products
I have very thick, wavy, frizzy uncontrollable hair! So 98% of the time I curl it with gel and use a diffuser. It is just easier for me to leave it curly. When I go to parties/special events I get it blown out professionally. I just had my hair straightened this weekend and EVERYONE tells me how good I look with straight hair. Unfortunately, I don't know how to straighten it myself.
What products are a must for straightening uncontrollable hair?
The only thing I have at home is a flat iron and round brush. What other products should I use? Any specific shampoo/conditioner?
Thanks soo much!

Re: Straightening Hair-products
My hair is not thick but is very frizzy. I just started using "It's a 10" Miracle Leave-in product. I wouldn't exactly say it's a miracle but it has decreased the frizz.

my hair is naturally thick curly and frizzy and takes forever to dry
I love "it's a 10" other have to told me try Moroccan oil, and i hate it, it weighs hair down.
I used to do Coppola Keratin treatment, its very gentle and just smoothed out my hair. Leaving it wavy, but not stick straight, but making it a ton easier to dry straight. But it would be impossible to curl after these treatment. For me it washes out in 2 months.
Now, I'm going back to curly and I found another product I love even more, its called BioMega Silk Shampoo, my stylist (my sister) orders it for me, I have no idea where else to get it. But its amazing. Kills frizz but leaves my curls lushious, if I want to blow it out its so much easier.
I have had such bad luck with leave in stuff, and with straightening products in general. My hair is really tough to deal with though.

Re: Straightening Hair-products
personally i dont believe in straightening shampoos..i think they are sooo all about marketing. i like macadamia oil vs moroccan oil for blowouts bc moroccan can get wayyy too heavy.
and like the pp keratin blowouts rock...but honestly the best thing for curly/wavy hair is serious hydration and antihumidty sprays after your blowouts!
