Re: stop working

I am not high risk, so my Dr appointments are not so bad. I need to work to the end- going into labor at work would be fine.

Re: stop working

I am 39 weeks and still working. I am due on 12/20 and my last day will probably be 12/18. I am not high risk either so its not too bad and honestly I feel really good so I would rather be at work then at home just waiting for this baby to come out.

Ditto.

In a perfect world I'd be typing this from home right now but I have another 5 weeks to go and that's only if Chat Icon comes on time.

I am not due until mid January but tomorrw is my last day due to numerous issues with my pregnancy, I physically and mentally can't do much anymore.

ETA: My baby is also expected to amke an early arrival. There is also a large chance I wil lbe induced early so we'll see what happens.

HAHAHA! Me too!! I have let my staff know where the hospital is should I go into labor while at the office and one of them would have to drive me - which knowing me and my dumb luck will be the case!! Good news is that the hospital is only 10 minutes away from work (as opposed to 1/2 an hour from home).

Re: stop working

Thankfully I have had no major problems with this pregnancy so I will be starting my maternity leave on my due date (and if I'm late I actually think I may try to work from home until I deliver).

If you are talking about taking leave, you must have a medical reason and sufficient evidence (doctor's notes, etc) as to why yoiu cannot work / they need to hold your job for you. If you're talking about quitting, well - that's really between you and your SO to decide.

I am going out 4 weeks before my due date. I am a teacher and we have a long break and I will stay home from then on. I am 23 weeks and being on my feet all day and going up and down steps all day is already starting to take its toll.

Re: stop working

My last day is tomo I'm due in 6 weeks. I have a pretty laborious job involving a lot of pulling and lifting patients and I'm on my feet almost all day. Plus a commute to Manhattan with a half hour walk each way. I'm SO swollen none of my sneakers fit plus carpal tunnel and sciatica. Fun!Chat Icon

I thankfully have the option of working from home so when it gets closer to baby coming time then I will start to stay home.

Re: stop working

I'm on my feet all day in and out of my car so we will see how long I can deal. I too go to the doc a decent amount but it doesn't get in the way too much. I'm going to be induced so my leave may be more planned out.

Re: stop working

I am working until a week before my due date (Jan 22) I already know because of my GD that she will induce me so I am not worried about going late. I also work in the city and am petrified that my water is gonna break on the LIRR!

I'm due Jan.21 and I think so far my last day will be the 11th. Or I'm even considering the 18th depends on how I feel then.
