I like the "idea" of Best Yet. Cute, cozy, local supermarket. I can't stand the narrow aisles, no parking and lack of self-checkout. I voted for S&S.

Best Yet for their produce and meat sales. S&S for everything else.

The Best Yet closest to me (Oakdale) is nasty! They had a fire in their fish dept recently, and when they took out the display case, they found fish underneath from over a year ago!  Plus, they aren't really any cheaper and I find the produce to be hit/miss. And in the past, when I buy their meat, I feel it spoils before the date on the package.
Maybe other locations are nicer, though.
I love Shoprite, but would go to Stop and Shop a million times before Best Yet.

I agree. The prices are usually better at Bes t Yet, but I think S&S has better quality products.

I don't like Best Yets meats but do go there for their produce and other little things. I think Stop and Shop has better quality meets but overpriced on their produce.

Same. I feel like any other product in the "middle aisles" at BY is way over-priced.
As a rule, I rotate between BY, S&S & Target depending on what I need because each store is cheaper in certain items.

I don't ever really shop at SS. I love Best Yet for their fruit and freshly made bread. Mm..
I also go to trade joe's and shoprite.

have you tried the new meat farms?
its very good!
i only go to best yet in oakdale for milk sales and seltzer.
I do like the new best yet in west babylon.
